Mrs. Lowe's extensive dance training, teaching and choreographic work encompasses a broad array of both classical and contemporary repertoire. She has been classically trained in the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D), Vaganova and Imperial Ballet syllabi. Her contemporary training includes Graham, Horton and Limon techniques. She holds a B.S. degree in Sports Medicine from the University of West Florida with specialization in injury prevention and treatment. She is a member of The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, London, England, and has been recognized with an Award of Distinction in Anatomy and Physiology for Dancers from ISTD. She is an Affiliate of the American Academy of Ballet (one of two Affiliates in the State of Florida) and is qualified to instruct her students in the Academy's internationally recognized Performance Awards Program. She is on the ballet faculty of Dance Educators of America and also serves as a DEA competition adjudicator.
During her career and research on injury prevention and wellness for dancers, she discovered and integrated Pilates training into her teaching methodology. In an effort to continue her passion for ballet and strong commitment towards improving body mechanics, Mrs. Lowe became a certified Pilates instructor through the PhysicalMind Institute, New York City, New York. She has trained with world renowned "ballet teacher's teacher," Ruth C. Petrinovic and is well versed in her comprehensive curriculum. Mrs. Lowe has been listed in "Who's Who Among Executives & Professionals." She is on the Board of Directors for Florida State University's Friends of Dance.
As a versatile choreographer and educator, she has been recognized with various awards throughout her career, including recognition as the 2006, 2007 and most recently, 2008 recipient of the Dance Educators of America’s President’s Cup Award. She is a sought after choreographer and guest teacher and is in strong demand as a classical variations coach. Mrs. Lowe has a sterling reputation in the dance community for producing strong, technical dancers, many of whom have been accepted into the nation's leading summer ballet programs and college and university dance programs. Mrs. Lowe has had the distinct honor to sit on a three member panel for the First Lady of Florida's Arts Education Recognition Program, a program that recognizes serious high school students who have demonstrated exemplary talent in dance.
Along with serving as owner and director for the school, she is ballet mistress and choreographer for “Company Etudes,” PACT's ballet and contemporary dance company.
Robyn Williams received her early training in her native Jacksonville under tutelage of Nancy Tuttle and her professional training staff. Her training has been supplemented by intense study with renowned master teachers including Dmitri Roudnev (ballet) and Joe Lanteri (jazz). Robyn attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a dance major. Her strong technical background as well as her caring and passionate teaching style make her an invaluable part of the PACT faculty. In addition to instructing classes in our Young Children’s Program, acrobatics, jazz and tap, Ms. Williams choreographs for Company Etudes and is the Assistant to the director of the company. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State University.
Selina Hall, a native of Miami, Florida, graduated from the high school division of New World School of the Arts in 2002. She trained with the Miami Conservatory under the direction and guidance of Thomas Armour and Ruth Wiesen. Selina performed with the Miami Ballet and Thomas Armour Youth Ballet under a full tuition scholarship. She attended Florida State University, majoring in English. While at FSU, she became Rehearsal Director for Essence Dance Theatre of FAMU, and maintained that position for three years. Selina has received scholarships for and studied with numerous summer programs including: Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey, Milwaukee Dance Connection, Jacob’s Pillow, and Lines Ballet. Selina has worked closely with the FSU Dance Department, performing in their Days of Dance 2006 as well as the MFA concert for Millicent Johnnie and Lawrence Jackson. Her teaching experience dates back to her years at the Miami Conservatory as well as with Essence Dance Theatre, teaching ballet, Pointe, modern (Horton, Graham, and Limon techniques), jazz and lyrical. Selina’s philosophy is: “Every time you’re in a dance class, treat it as a performance. You spend more time in the classroom then you do on the stage, so remember to perform every step, every movement, and every breath. It is in those moments that the dancer lives for."
Ashley holds a degree in Psychology with an English minor from Florida State University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology. She is a wonderfully conscientious teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her classes. Ashley has danced and trained with Northwest Florida Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, FSU's Dance Department and Tallahassee Ballet. Additionally, she was a two year scholarship recipient to the Joffrey Ballet School. She has performed roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, Coppelia, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and other original works.
Beatrice Corbin received her dance training in Zurich and Paris, in ballet, jazz, yoga and Feldenkreis. She has danced in companies in her native Switzerland, as well as Germany, Paris and Hungary, touring Europe, Africa and Israel. Since moving to Tallahassee in 1996, she has danced in several productions at the FSU Dance Department. Beatrice has been teaching ballet, contemporary, jazz, yoga, stretching and placement classes throughout her career for all levels.
Lindsay graduated from Florida State University with a BFA in dance and moved to New York City where she danced with Adele Myers and Company while simultaneously House Managing at The Joyce SoHo Theater. While studying at FSU, she was invited to perform “Romeo and Juliet” and “Apollo” with the Suzanne Farrell Dance Company. Lindsay has also performed works by Alonzo King, Sean Curran, and Brent Schneider, to name a few. She began her dance teaching career at Baby Moves, a New York-based physical movement center. She is currently the Assistant Director for the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography where she works with grants, contracts, funding, development, artist services and community involvement/education. Lindsay is a dedicated teacher who brings incredible knowledge and professionalism to the classroom.
Max began her dance training in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon moving to Hudson, Florida she continued her dance education under John Vincent Leggio in dance, voice, and acting. She has studied every discipline of dance from ballet to hip hop, though musical theatre is her favorite. Some notable dance intensives include Brian Friedman, Michael Clowers, Eva Bernstein, Terry Beeman (from Debbie Allen Dance Academy) and Joey Pizzi (choreographer for the movie musical Chicago). Her professional credits include choreographing for various high school performances, as well as performing in both union and non-union productions. She will graduate in December 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a minor in Communications Studies from Florida State. Max teaches Young Children's classes and Musical Theatre. Max is honored to be a member of PACT's talented faculty, and is thrilled to be able to share her love of dance and performance with her students. "For Shakespeare said it best -- 'All the world is a stage.'"
Rachel Wallin, a West Palm Beach native, joins our faculty to teach ballet, jazz, contemporary and Young Children's Classes. She has been classically trained under Susan Lyle of Susan Lyle Studios and is a graduate of Alexander Dreyfoos School of the Arts where she was the recipient of the Fisk Award. She attended Philadelphia's University of the Arts and is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology from Florida State University. She has participated in numerous performances and has spent a great deal of time performing in concerts to raise money for cancer research. Rachel's enthusiasm, ability to artfully challenge students and passion make her a welcome addition to the PACT teaching staff.
Elizabeth Collins, a native of Miami, Florida, graduated as a dance major from New World School of the Arts with the Superintendent's Diploma of Distinction. She has trained intensively with Peter London of the Martha Graham Company, as well as Fredrick Bratcher; the Director of the Fredrick Bratcher Company. While under their direction, she was trained in the Limon and Horton techniques. Elizabeth has also worked with choreographers Mia Michaels and Michael Knight. Elizabeth has held such titles as Ms. Junior Dancer as well as Ms. Teen Dancer. While at New World, Elizabeth competed in the ARTS competition in the choreography division and placed in the top five percent. Elizabeth attended Interlochen, a prestigious arts school in Michigan. While there, she performed along side the Michigan Ballet School, as well as the well known singer Josh Groban. She is currently attending Florida State University, majoring in Criminology, hoping to pursue her dream of law school. Elizabeth has served as head of the hip-hop and jazz divisions for studios throughout South Florida and brings with her vast choreographic experience. Elizabeth has been trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern and tap. She very much enjoys working with children and sharing her passion of dance with others.
